The Merrimack at Broad Street, Nashua
Thanks to the community, Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) wrapped up their Annual Mitten Tree Drive with record‑breaking results. In total, 1,000 new handmade or store-bought mittens, gloves, hats and scarves were collected and will be distributed to local non-profits in need of winter weather essentials.
For each item collected, The Merrimack pledged to give $2 to local food pantries, adding up to a $2,000 donation. However, due to the outpour of support, The Merrimack is increasing that donation to $3,000, which will be evenly divided and gifted to the following food pantries:
- Friendly Kitchen (Concord)
- Twin Rivers Food Pantry (Franklin)
- Bow Food Pantry
- Hopkinton Food Pantry
- Hooksett Food Pantry
- Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter

“The generosity of our community is nothing short of amazing,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “We appreciate every donation we received and our talented local knitters who went to work to help fill the need.”
