The winners of the annual Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) scholarships are preparing to enter college later this month.
Emma Conley is this year’s recipient of the William Hilton Community Service Award. Conley of Bow, is a 2019 graduate of Bow High School, and will attend the University of Tampa in Florida to study Marine Biology. The Service Award was established in honor of William Hilton, former Bank director, who was a staunch advocate of community service and inspired those around him to serve. Recipients must demonstrate the qualities of determination, willingness to serve, perseverance and outstanding character. Bow High School students interested in learning more about the award should contact their guidance office.
Brianna Hartofelis is this year’s recipient of the Robert E. Boucher Scholarship. Hartofelis of Penacook, is a 2010 graduate of Merrimack Valley High School and will attend the New York School of Interior Design this fall. Awarded jointly by The Merrimack and the Boucher Family, the Robert E. Boucher scholarship is presented every year to one deserving student who demonstrates determination, perseverance and outstanding character. Boucher, an advocate of community service, was known to inspire those around him to serve. Merrimack Valley High School students interested in the Robert E. Boucher Scholarship for 2020 should contact their guidance office.
Myah Kerbyon, Patrick Gills and Nikhil Prasad are this year’s winners of The Merrimack County Savings Bank Scholarship. Kerbyson, a 2019 Hopkinton High School graduate is attending the University of New Hampshire in Durham. Gills, a 2019 Nashua High School North graduate, is attending Dartmouth College in Hanover and Prasad, a 2019 graduate of Nashua High School South, is attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The Merrimack County Savings Bank Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who reflect Merrimack Style in both work and character. The values of Merrimack Style encompass accountability, mutuality, excellence, respect, integrity, teamwork and stewardship. Scholarships are given to students who are mindful of their communities through volunteerism and participation in school activities. Incoming seniors in Nashua and Hopkinton interested in applying for the 2020 scholarship are encouraged to contact their guidance office.
